Bio & Background
Meet Randy Zackrisson
Randy grew up in Toledo, Ohio and attended K-12 public schools. In grade school Randy joined Boy Scout Troop 29 and ultimately attained the rank of Eagle Scout. This experience instilled Randy’s deep-seated values of “duty to God and country.”
Upon graduation from high school, Randy was accepted into the University of Toledo’s College of Engineering. Concurrently, Randy joined the Ohio Air National Guard and served there as a Jet Aircraft Mechanic. Randy received an Honorable Discharge at the same time as he was awarded his BS in Industrial Engineering. Randy was the first in his family to have graduated from college.
It was at the University of Toledo that Randy met the love of his life, Julie. They were married upon graduation and recently celebrated 48 years together.
Recruited in college by the General Electric Company, Randy and Julie followed jobs across the country and in 1980, they landed in Charlottesville.
Randy and Julie have raised four exceptional children – each graduating from Western Albemarle High School – and each becoming professionally accomplished.
Over the past 20 years, Randy and Julie have been active members of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church.
In his spare time, Randy loves working on cars and often serves as “the family mechanic.” Julie and Randy enjoy world travel and have visited several dozen countries.
